Top 10 Search Engines Of 2004

Now Bloggers Can Be Authors!

After some chit-chat with a few colleagues, friends and fellow employees, some minor testing, and some input from NextSearchSurvey, a search engine survey I conducted a while back (using some public as well as behind the scenes data), I decided to make a list of what “we” (as in all of the above) thought the top 10 search engines of last year were.

Please note, as I said above, that this data isn’t solely based on evidence, but also contains some of what we personally thought. I produced this list not to get links or any thing related to that, but just because I miss those days where we had such lists and NorthernLight was included 😉

Judging criteria is basically that they’ve gotta have their own crawler OR index and provide “potential” results as in any person could actually use it if the ones above it in the list didn’t exist. Feel free to use this list anywhere if you want with maybe a courtesy link 😉 and if you have any complaints of any kind, comments are the way to go.
