Yes! AdSense for RSS is Finally Here!

If you’re a publisher and this is the first place you’re reading about it, I can feel your excitement and I know you don’t want anything other than the link to sign up for AdSense for Feeds Beta and a few tips, best practices etc. so I won’t stop you — go on and get that code in your feed!

However, if you’re still with me, here’s what I think about AdSense for Feeds. I think Google has done a great thing — and it’s great to see they don’t have the “Use ATOM. Google supports it. It’s the next generation syndication format” attitude anymore, and that they have enabled support for both RSS and ATOM (but I guess they had to). Imagining if Google had done this just for ATOM, I can see people would either:
A) Shift to ATOM or have it as an option if they already don’t.
B) Hate Google for doing it.
C) Promote ATOM and support Google.

Well, I can’t really spend more time writing this post because, you know, I’m excited as well and I have yet to sign up (when I see things like this, this first place I come to is here and not where the actual thing is).
