CPU Not Starting Up

No Posts for a While

Sorry folks, I haven’t been able to post for the past couple of days because, well… I sort of stuffed up.

Yesterday, when I came back from work, I turned the computer on and went to watch TV. After about two hours, I come back and look: the CPU is turned off. I don’t know what has happened to it, but the monitor, printer etc. are in the same outlet (one of those multy cord thingies) and they work, but whenever I press the power button on the CPU, nothing happens. I’ve checked everything, tried it in different sockets, etc. etc.

Before I go to an actual computer professional, I wanted your advice on what I could do/check (if there is anything to, that is). Please please help me out here, even if it’s the simplest advice. My e-mail, as you must know is sid@dailyrundown.com or you can post it below in the comments.

Anything at all is much appreciated, and if you’ve read upto here, thanks for your time!

PS. I’ve checked all the simple things like the switch on the back of the computer (which apparently is one-sided, when I move it to the other side and let it go, it comes back to its default side).
