The past few weeks have been quite hectic for me but I’m glad, really glad, that rev2.org is back online and that too with a newer and (hopefully) more reliable/secure host, one with a 99.9% uptime guarantee [I will sue them if they don’t live upto it ;)) and a few 24×7 promises. But first, for those curious where rev2.org went for the past three weeks, I have the full story.
According to my host, someone (of course, it wasn’t me) sent off near 200,000 spam messages and they had to suspend my account, my host having to pay the damage. I’m not sure this if is true, because three days later I received an e-mail from the host saying they wanted $350 to restore my data [which, luckily, I had learnt from past experiences to backup daily], but I do know that if it is true, and I find out who that person is, I will reveal him to the world. So, if you’re reading this, mua hahahahaa you’re being watched.
In conclusion, or as I said above, I decided to switch to a much higher-end, seemingly reliable host who actually promises in text “99.9% uptime guarantee” and “24×7 onsite physical security”. So, my promise to you: rev2.org will never go down again without informing you.
Now that all this is over, where’s my Newsgator
