Zooomr Makes Geotagging Happen

By admin    June 9th, 2006

Zooomr is a startup founded by 17-year old Kristopher Tate in late 2005 which has a strong focus on geotagging, metadata, and localization. It uses these three things and a Google Maps mashup to enable a world of photosharing which I'm starting to appreciate quite a bit lately. Michael Arrington reports that Zooomr 2.0 is on its way and posts a few screenshots, funnily enough on Zooomr competitor Flickr (also, notice the r's). ;-)
