Netscape: Web 1.0 Portal -> 2.0 Digg-Killer

Google released a new beta of Picasa yesterday. Apart from some new features and UI changes, this comes with web-integration — the ability to upload pictures online to Picasa Web Albums. While the beta is now available for anyone to download, you'll need to be invited to test out Web Albums and the upload feature, but they've posted a sample account/album you can play around with. Notice above that I used the word 'upload' rather than synchrozine, this is because this process has a few gaps in it and unlike, say Flickr or Riya, isn't exactly seemless.
