eBuddy is a new Meebo competitor which, like Meebo, enables web-based instant-messaging through AJAX. It currently supports MSN, Yahoo! and AIM, and is monetized by ads — targeting an audience of (school, college) students who can use the service to break through those Firewalls preventing the use of IMs from their computer labs. I personally much prefer Meebo but if this is your only option — why not
