Somewhere, the trend to round up bulk of existing ad revenues by goliaths (read Google, Yahoo, Fox) tying up with each other seems to be a continuation of the offline media space.

I, for one, feel that deals on the web today cannot be struck for 3 years + the way it used be done offline. Things end to be fought on different parameters every new year or so.

And, there's always a David waiting to (genuinely dreaming big) to hit the goliaths where it hurts most by putting up the next big thing ... they might not shore the big bucks but with each hit, they will open new vistas that the goliaths will play 'catch-up' to.
