Agreed that eventful has been around, but what&#039;s really interesting about attendio (and btw i don&#039;t work there) is the notion of persionalization i.e. a service that knows you and can weed out the noise. On eventful, google, or citysearch you have to know what you are looking for before you start your search. that takes too long. so, if attendio is in fact effective and figuring me out and is able to make useful suggesitons, i think it sounds pretty good.</description>

		<description>Sid, are you familiar with Eventful?   You ought to check that out as well.   Eventful launched in September 2005, has over 1 million users, around 4 million events searchable, and has been offering features for years that Attendio is just now talking about.</description>
