In doing so, they demonstrate the ability to innovate and they create a niche for themselves at the same time. This product fills a gaping hole in the iPhone: there's no native IM client. If Apple had built an IM client in to the phone, the opportunities for companies such as Meebo to step up and greet a new market would be much slimmer. Instead of being frustrated by the constraints placed on application development on the iPhone, perhaps developers ought to celebrate them: where there are limitations, there is opportunity. Not because of Meebo exactly, but because so much is happening! But I didn't find a link to the iPhone version... or perhaps that managed by the CSS and an iPhone-optimized version automatically loads if you're viewing from the device?
