For a little bit of Sunday fun, and since that’s what everyone cares about on TechMeme (anyone notice this is making bigger news than Google/YouTube?), Fake Steve Jobs was found to be… none other than Forbes senior editor Daniel Lyons (who would have guessed?
). After several attempts to figure out the master-mind behind the humorous ‘fake’ blog, mostly by industry gossip rag ValleyWag, FSJ was finally outed by Brad Stone of the New York Times.
There are several incidents which bring a bit of fun to the world-changing tech industry and capture the attention of anyone who is remotely interested in these things, and this was one of them. The tongue-in-cheek comments that made our day, and the brilliantly-crafted pieces on the tech industry, will no longer be — and if they will, they’ll be coming out of Lyon’s mouth, not Jobs’. While Rev2 writers, like millions of FSJ lovers, are extremely disappointed that the fun is over, we like to move on to the next big thing.
Hey NYT, want some help in ruining this too?
