Motorguru Has Their Engines Ready to Rev

Motorguru.com recently launched to take on the media giants in the valuable auto web space. Founded by two guys both qualified to execute their vision, this is not just another car web site featuring cool cars. Justin Bell (son of legendary Derek Bell) is a professional racing driver – former World GT2 Champion and Winner of the famous Le Mans 24 Hour race in France.  Co-founder Mark Ramsey left Mercedes Benz USA where he had the enviable task of heading up the high-end AMG, Maybach and SLR brand team.

Motorguru is aimed at the average consumer, whether or not they have an interest or passion for cars. They have created an online environment for car buyers and automotive enthusiasts to learn about the latest vehicles.  They have also successfully succeeded in creating a site that contains interesting popular and lesser known automotive events and other topics of interest in the world of cars and motor sports.  Motorguru.com gives the user this informative almost entirely through credible and entertaining video reviews.

Primarily, the goal is to create THE brand in the USA that people will go to when considering what their next vehicle should be. With 8/10 people spending over 5 hours on the web researching cars while in the buying cycle, this could prove to be a popular destination for the web user.

The secondary purpose of the site is to innovate and create cool, fun original content that makes for regular daily viewing by a more enthusiast audience. Thanks to Justin and Mark’s contacts in the industry Motorguru
has access to almost any car, manufacturer and event related to the auto world – and they aim to bring that VIP access to their viewers.

I recently visited the Motorguru studios in Delray Beach, Florida.  They produce all their  own video content and web programming from this sleek studio, and seem to certainly have their finger on the pulse of the car industry. With tremendous support from the car companies you can expect to see their weekly video car reviews and shows becoming an influence in the auto video realm.

Currently, Motorguru.com is funded by private investors but hints are in the process of raising more money to grow the site from their initial successful launch. Hopefully I can break the news to you here when it happens!

Good stuff as always Craig. MG really has some great content on it – and solid pedigrees from Justin and Mark certainly make their reviews trustworthy. Nice job with the video and editing as well.
