BillShrink Seems Good In a Shrinking Economy

A new startup called BillShrink that is quite similar to LowerMyBills, has announced that they will now help their users cut costs on their Credit Cards, using their automated advisor.  Prior to helping with Credit Cards, billshrink mostly helped users save money on phone bills.  Their free advisor engine would analyze a cell phone bill and plan, and then monitor the usage and make suggestions for lowering costs.

Using billshrink’s new feature, users can find the best match in a credit card.  It is almost like a matchmaking service for finding love in a credit card.  Afer deciding which kind of card is right, a user enters in the amount that they usually spend in a month.  Once Billshrink has gathered a good amount of data about your usage, they provide a list of the best credit card matches, and shows with is the most compatible for your spending habits. Billshrink monitors the card and if a more cost effective card comes out, or perhaps a fee is changed, they will notify their users.  They do not stop there, Billshrink also keeps abreast on promotions, rewards programs and other features credit cards offer, making new recommendations along the way to help the consumer save money.

BillShrink is run by Peter Pham, who once worked at Photobucket.

In less than one week, we will find out who will be our Commander in Chief for the next four years. There are new controversies surrounding both the Democrat and Republican camps. For instance, there has been a lot of talk all over the news and media reporting that the Republican National Committee spent about $150,000 on new clothes for Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin. This story has not only attracted the attention of many Americans, but has stirred a flood of negative publicity. Although both Palin and Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama have spent a large amount on clothing alone, some people have been quick to target the Alaska Governor. However, we are living in a society where looks, more than anything else, are what we base our judgment of people on. If you have one candidate who is dressed in designer clothing, and somebody else dresses in attire distinctly from a clearance rack, the latter will not be taken seriously. They spent a lot less on Sarah’s wardrobe than Obama spends on TV commercials. And look at the attention Sarah Palin is getting with her wardrobe. It doesn’t seem like such a bad political move. Anyway, America should not make a decision on who to vote for based on clothing, especially since the future of our country is at stake. With this in mind, vote for the candidate that supports our freedom for human rights and personal financial responsibility, such as the continued rights to no fax payday loans.

Philadelphia Phillies have won their first World Series in 28 years. The last time they climbed to the top of the mountain (1980), Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and Steve Carlton showed the American League the meaning of spirited, winning baseball. Today, as emotions run high and the city of Philadelphia gears up for celebration of their boys bringing home the Commissioner’s Trophy, pillars of the community like Temple University are preparing for mass rioting. According to Dean of Students Ainsley Carry, “Students involved in vandalism, refusal to disperse, destruction of property, etc. will face both criminal and University disciplinary action. Sanctions may range from fines up to and including immediate suspension. Surveillance – including videotaping – is heightened during the Series on campus and throughout the city.”
I’m all for personal responsibility, which includes showing respect for others and their property. But is the feel of a police state crackdown necessary? Wait, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love. Of course it is necessary.

Guys, listen up! Did you think about the issues before you voted? I hope that most of you did, but who knows? Some of us think more about whether or not to take out a payday advance. Case in point: listen to this audio clip, from a recent episode of the “Howard Stern Show”. (It was posted by BPM DJ’s of Pittsburgh.) Roving Reporter Sal went out getting opinions of people on the street, to see whether they supported Obama or McCain for President, and whether they were voting for Obama on the basis of race, or just because he’s black. Sal got his samples from Harlem, in New York City. The trick here was that he reverses the candidates' positions (he states Obama as having the platform of McCain, and vice versa) – and he gets people to admit they want the positions of McCain but they're voting for Obama, or, quite frankly, they don't know what they want. And you know, he points out the fact that many of us basically jump on the bandwagon, and go with whatever most people are saying.
