Amazon is really keen to sell more Kindle Fire HDX tablets. So keen that they’re now offering a three-payment installment plan to purchase one. Cough up 25% of the tablet on initial purchase, plus taxes and shipping, and you can pay the rest over three payments spread 90 days apart. So buy one now, don’t pay it off until August 2014 and pay no interest to go with that.
Pretty sweet deal? It appears so as it’s become the talk of the “deal” sites now. Amazon is not charging any fees, interest, or other costs to purchase with this plan. All it requires is that you make your payments on time over the next nine months and all is good. If you fail to make payments, Amazon bricks your Fire until you do.
The tablets are set to be all the rage this Holiday Season, but have so far been, some say, returning lackluster sales compared to the expectations Bezos and pals had for it. This may be the impetus behind the three-payment deal plan being offered. What’s more, the deal is only being offered to current Amazon customers. If you don’t have an Amazon account or aren’t signed in, the deal won’t appear for you.
The pitch is pretty straight forward. See what you think.
