Many people might be able to think of a new idea for a startup, but making a working app to bring it to fruition is far more difficult.
Now, a new service called Gigster can help people turn their ideas into reality.
The company offers a full-service development one-stop shop, which means that you don’t have to search through a crowded online marketplace to find the right person for the job.
Gigster’s site offers instant messaging so that you can connect with a sales engineer and explain your project directly. Just ten minutes later, you will have a guaranteed quote setting out how long the job will take and how much it will cost.
One you decide to go ahead with the deal, Gigster will use its team of freelance coders and designers to complete the task on schedule.
After completing of the app, Gigster can maintain the code for you and supply upgrades and new features as and when they are needed.
This service could be the perfect answer for an entrepreneur with a great idea who needs to develop a working product in order to pull in funding.
Plenty of backing
Gigster is a startup itself, and it is offering big discounts during its first few weeks of operations.
The company is backed by Greylock Partners, Bloomberg Beta, Felicis Ventures, and other investor angels, who have put a total of $2.5 million behind the company.
Roger Dickey, Gigster’s co-founder, has a history of success, building Facebook apps through his company Curiosoft as well as the mega-hit game Mafia Wars.
